Who We Are
My name is Emanuelita (Lisa) Walker.
My journey investing in people began with my former career as a human resource professional where I held several roles. I discovered that one of my greatest satisfactions in life was investing in people. This was accomplished by helping them successfully achieve their career goals. I now invest in people by creating long and short term comfortable, safe, warm, sparkling clean housing for them to live in as tenants and/or visit as guests.
Founding the Company
In 2014 I left my corporate job as a Compensation Planning Specialist to begin a career in real estate investing. I obtained my Realtor® license, and a short time later formed my first LLC. After several months of intense real estate training, I began purchasing, rehabbing, flipping, leasing, and selling properties in the Metro Detroit area.
Additionally, in late 2017, I began hosting Airbnb guests as well. Within a few months, I achieved Airbnb’s Superhost status and marveled at how much I enjoy providing comfortable tenancies and guest stays. This feeling was reciprocated by my tenants and guests, as is reflected in the 99% 5 Star Ratings (the highest) I receive from Airbnb guests, coupled with happy tenants that renew their leases.
In 2018, I formed ComfortFirst Properties Incorporated (CFP) and added two subsidiary company’s which are: “Ours2Yours Homes LLC” and “Best4Guests Short Term Rentals LLC”. Both companies continue to rent and lease properties. In late 2018, CFP added properties purchased in Southfield, MI for Airbnb hosting as well.
The need for comfortable, safe, affordable quality housing continues to be great in the underserved communities. In a small, but I hope significant way, I will continue to focus on filling that need – one home at a time, as well as create exceptional short term stay experiences for my Airbnb guests.
Our Mission
There is still a great need for comfortable and safe housing particularly in underserved communities. As I continue to monitor housing trends and data, CFP will remain fluid and positioned to quickly pivot and provide tenants and guests with the latest housing accommodations.
Our vision & values
I plan to add larger homes, multi-family dwellings as well as Airbnb Arbitrage methods of hosting to my business mix. All are consistent with my original goals of helping people and communities using real estate as the method to accomplish these values and priorities.
